Karai Elizabeth Wanjiru

Karai Elizabeth Wanjiru, is a third-year student at Egerton University Njoro pursuing Bachelor of Science in Soil Environment and Land Use Management in the faculty of Agriculture. She was born in a family of eleven children in a polygamous family. She schooled at Kinyona Primary School where she scored 324 marks in Kenya Certificate of Primary Education and later joined an extra county School in Murang'a where she scored B (plain) in Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education. She has experienced a lot of financial challenges in her education and TAGDev Program has given her hope of completing her studies through tuition fee support. She is ambitious and hard-working individual with a great passion in agriculture. She also has a desire to provide gender sensitive and environmentally sound extension services in the management of soils for sustainable agricultural production.
