Entrepreneurship Training to support Recovery and Resilience on Start-ups in the face of COVID-19 pandemic

RUFORUM is conducting a entreprenuership training on youth in starting up and managining their businesses, through diverse entrepreneurship programmes including; the RUFORUM Entrepreneurship Challenge Programme (RECAP) and African Young Entrepreneurs and Innovators forum and a field attachment programme award (FAPA) focusing on innovation, products, and markets., various young entrepreneurs are delivering a range of products some that directly address the COVID-19 pandemic needs while others are currently at a halt owing to the COVID-19 situation

 A recovery and resilience training programme is necessary to engage these young entrepreneurs in order not to lose all the opportunities and gains made by these young people. RUFORUM seeks to keep the entrepreneurship platform active and vibrant. With the support from the Mastercard Foundation through the TAGDev programme, RUFORUM is rolling out the Recovery and Resilience Entrepreneurship training programme

Training Objectives

  1. Provide skills to support business survival in the COVID-19 and post COVID-19 period.
  2. Structure businesses for growth and to be more resilient to external shocks.
  3. Facilitate innovation to take advantage of the opportunities created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
  4. Empower beneficiaries at idea stage to start their businesses.
