Cohort Three Students

Gideon Simiyu Muchele was born on 26^th November 1998 in Bungoma County being the 3^rd born in a family of seven children. He joined Netima R.C Primary School in 2003 and completed in 2012 having excelled well in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (K.C.P.E) examination. In 2013, he joined Khasoko Boys High School and completed the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (K.C.S.E) examination in the year 2016. During his time in School, Mr. Muchele showed impressive academic and co-curricular efforts as well as high level of discipline.  He participated actively in drama and choir festivals up to the national levels. He was also appointed as the peer counselor of his class for three consecutive years (2014-2016). It is through this that he was nurtured both morally and responsibly translating into a morally upright, disciplined student who left the school with admirable academic records. In August 2017, Muchele joined Egerton University, Njoro campus where he is currently pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in the Faculty of Agriculture. His dreams of completing his studies on time could have been shuttered were it not for RUFORUM through TAGDev program at Egerton who paid his tuition fee in 2019. He is very ambitious yearning to be professionally nurtured Animal scientist who unconditionally takes into account the affairs of farmers and other clients. He also want to be among the innovative animal scientists with capacity to come up with new inventions in the field of animal research and agricultural sector for sustainable development
