Emmaculate Kiptoo

Emmaculate Kiptoo was born in the year 1990 in Kong’asis Village, Kipsinende Sub-location, Ainabkoi Location, Uasin Gishu County, Kenya. In 1996, she started her early childhood education at Flax Primary School then moved to Kong’asis Primary School in the year 1998 and finally moved to Turesia Primary School in the year 2000 where she finished the remaining part of her primary school education in 2004. Thereafter, she joined Kapsabet Girls’ High School where she was committed to studying and worked very hard. She sat for her final exam in the year 2008 and managed to score B+ (plus) which earned her an opportunity to pursue Bachelors of Science degree in Agricultural Economics at Egerton University. She joined Egerton University in the year 2010 and graduated in the year 2014 with Second Class Honours (Upper Division).  She served as a class representative in Keiyo Egerton Students Association during her undergraduate studies. In August 2014, she got an opportunity to work with Freshco Kenya Limited as an intern until December 2014. She got another chance to be a tutor at Baraton Teachers’ College in the year 2015 where she worked for three months. Since she had an interest to pursue further education and she had applied for a Master of Science degree in Agricultural Economics, she resigned and went back to Egerton in September 2015 under self-sponsored programme. She has an interest in working hard in school to be a better person professionally and to impact on her society positively through her education. She is grateful to Egerton University for granting her an opportunity to pursue her Education, and RUFORUM through TAGDev Program for helping her realize her dreams through tuition fee support which raises the hope of graduating in 2020.
