Eileen Inyanji Wanyonyi

Eileen Inyanji Wanyonyi is a Master’s student at Egerton University pursuing Master of Science in Agribusiness Management. She completed her coursework in August, 2018 and scored a cumulative weighted average of 71.00 points. Eileen is a qualified marketer and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) degree from Egerton University, Kenya. She is also an upcoming young agribusiness professional following her studies in Agribusiness Management at Egerton University and participation in various agribusiness activities. A big believer in serving humanity, Eileen is an active member of various organizations including Rotaract Club of Nakuru, Marketing Society of Kenya and has managed to participate in the Agrienterprise Incubation for Improved Livelihoods and Economic Development (AGLEAD) projects in Egerton University. She is currently doing her research work through support offered by TAGDev Program at Egerton University. She specializes in strategic management in the agribusiness sector with her area of study being “Influence of Porter’s Five Forces on The Competitiveness of Agrodealer Businesses in Nakuru East Sub-County, Kenya”. Through this study, she hopes to reach out to several agrodealer businesses within the sub-county, find out their main competitive forces, what strategies they use to overcome these forces and if by any chance the forces influence their profitability levels. She hopes that at the end of the study, she will be able to come up with articulate policy recommendations for the sector.
