Miss Judith Nakyobe

Ms. Judith Nakyobe (Ugandan) is the Finance and Administration Manager at the RUFORUM Secretariat. She joined the Secretariat in 2013 and previously served as the Management Accountant at the Secretariat. Judith holds a BSc in Computer Science and is a Chartered Accountant with full membership to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU). Judith has led the implementation of the computerized RUFORUM financial management system called NAVISION.

Prof Egeru Anthony

Egeru Anthony (Ugandan) is the Manager Skilling, Engagement for Community Development, an eight year project funded by The MasterCard Foundation to strengthen the effectiveness of university contribution to development through skills development particularly entrepreneurship of talented, motivated and disadvantaged youth in Africa.

Mr Ekepu David

Ekepu David (Ugandan) is the Programme Officer, Networking and Partnership Brokerage at RUFORUM. David has been responsible for the implementation of the Sentinel Project including developing criteria to identify students to benefit from research scholarships, undertake needs assessments and overall support to capacity building activities led by RUFORUM. Miss Evaline Acan

Evaline Acan (Ugandan), is the Communications Assistant at RUFORUM Secretariat. Evaline joined the RUFORUM Secretariat in September 2020 as an Intern at the Executive Secretary Office to assist in the publications of the RUFORUM Working Document Series and the African Journal for Rural Development (AfJRD) papers. Ms. Acan holds a Bachelor of of Computing (Computer Science) from Gulu University.

Prof Patrick Okori

Prof. Patrick Okori is a Ugandan national who received his doctoral degree from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala in 2004. He received BSc Agriculture and MSc Crop Science degrees from Makerere University in Uganda in 1994 and 1997 respectively. Patrick is an international academic expert in curriculum and program design, educator, trainer, research innovator and scientific leader. During his formative years, Patrick worked at Makerere University, where he played a key role in institutional reform, both in research and training.

Dr Sokona Dagnoko

Sokona Dagnoko (Malian) is the Executive Assistant to the Executive Secretary, head partnerships, and joined RUFORUM 2023 from Sasakawa Africa Association office in Mali where she was the Country Director. Sokona will strengthen the Secretariat research and partnership management leveraging on her vast expertise in research methods, crop improvement, agricultural extension and advisory services, programme management, monitoring and evaluation, gender and partnerships

Miss Amwony Jackline

Amwony Jackline (Ugandan) joins RUFORUM from Cross Cultural Foundation of Uganda where she was a Research Assistant. She also served as a Field Assistant, Peace Building, Education and Advocacy Project with Africa Development Corps, Credit Controller with Uganda Telecom Limited, Peace building and Adult Education Coordinator with Jesuit Refugee Service.

Prof Majaliwa Mwanjalolo

Majaliwa Mwanjalolo (Congolese) holds  a License (5 years) in Applied Physics from the Institut Superieur Pedagogue de Bukavu (ISP-Bukavu), a Master's in Environmental Sciences, and Ph.D. in Soil and water management from Makerere University. He worked as an Associate Professor (2008-218) and Professor at Makerere University (2018-2020) at the Department of Geography, Geo-informatics, and climate sciences. He has been involved in several regional and international research initiatives.

Mr David Martin Amitu

David Martin Amitu (Ugandan)  is the Senior Programme Officer, Digital Resources and Development at the RUFORUM Secretariat and joined the Secretariat in 2018. He is a  telecommunications engineer with expertise in ICT and telecommunications. He holds Masters degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy and BSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Makerere University. David has over 12 years of experience in Telecom/IT.
