Nuno Filipe Fonseca Vasconcelos Escudeiro graduated in Computer and Electronics Engineering in 1991 at Instituto Superior Técnico of the University of Lisbon. In 2004 he completed his M.Sc. degree in Decision Support Systems and Data Analysis at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Porto. In 2012, he concluded his Ph.D. in Informatics at the Faculty of Enginering of the University of Porto. Nuno is a professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. His main research interests include machine learning, text mining. Nuno has been working on research linked to assistive technology. Nuno worked in the software industry between 1989 and 2002 before engaging definitely in the academic life. He has been participating as coordinator and partner in several national and international research and development projects. Nuno has a strong connection with the Erasmus programmes and the European Higher Education Area being mainly working on blended mobility and the link between the worlds of Education and Labour. Nuno is advisor of the EO4GEO sector skills alliance – Innovative Solutions for Earth Observation, advisor of INNOTECS – European Association of Technical Schools, Vice-President of the of EACG – European Association of Career Guidance, Vice-President of EAEC – European Association of Erasmus Coordinators.
