David Martin Amitu (Ugandan)  is the Technical Specialist - System Administration at the RUFORUM Secretariat and joined the Secretariat in 2018. He is a  telecommunications engineer with expertise in ICT and telecommunications. He holds Masters degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Trento, Italy and BSc in Telecommunications Engineering from Makerere University. David has over 12 years of experience in Telecom/IT.

Mr Artur Inácio Fernando

Artur Inácio Fernando (Mozambique) joined from RUFORUM Secretariat in 2022, prior joining RUFORUM, he was working at IITA as a Senior Agriculture Researcher, Mozambique. Artur holds a Masters Degree in Plant Breeding and Seeds Systems.

Miss Meri Siaka

Meri Siaka ( Ghanaian) is the internal auditor at RUFORUM Secretariat, her responsibilities entails ensuring that RUFORUM's risk management, governance and internal control processes are functioning effectively. Before RUFORUM, she was a Manager at KPMG in the assurance unit where she managed both financial statements audit and other assurance engagements.

Dr Florence Nakayiwa

Dr. Florence Nakayiwa (Ugandan) is the Deputy Executive Secretary - Planning Resources Mobilization and Management,  she  joined RUFORUM from Makerere University where she has been the Director of the Planning and Development Department. She has over twenty years’ experience in the higher education sector in Africa.

Miss Nada Siddig Abdalla Musa

Nada Siddig Abdalla Musa (Sudanese) is the Knowledge Management Specialist at the RUFORUM Secretariat.  She is currently pursuing PhD study in Agricultural and Rural Innovation at Makerere University; she holds MSc in Agricultural Information and Communication Management from Egerton University; MSc in Computer Engineering and Networks from University of Gezira and BSc. in Electronics Engineering (Hons) from Sudan University of Science and Technology.

Mr Emmanuel Okalany

Emmanuel Okalany (Ugandan) is the Technical Specialist – Development and Partnership at RUFORUM. He joined the Secretariat in 2015. Emmanuel is responsible for implementation and management of resource mobilization initiatives and strategic partnerships at the RUFORUM Secretariat. He holds a Masters’ degree in Geomatics and Natural Resources Evaluation from the University of Florence, Italy and Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture and Land Use Management from Makerere University.

Waswa Moses (Ugandan) is the Technical Specialist Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning at the RUFORUM Secretariat. He comes with over 5 years experience in Agricultural development with emphasis on participatory approaches such as Monitoring and Evaluation. He holds a Master’s degree in Crop Science (Makerere University, 2015) and BSc. Agriculture (Crop Science option) (2010) of Makerere University.

Dr. Rukarwa Runyararo Jolyn, (Zimbabwean), is the Manager – Research and Innovations at the RUFORUM Secretariat.  She holds a PhD in Plant Breeding and Biotechnology (Makerere University, 2014), Post graduate Diploma-Biosafety in Plant Biotechnology (Ghent University, Belgium, 2010), MSc. Crop Science majoring in Biotechnology (Makerere University, 2008) and BSc. in Agriculture (Hons) (University of Zimbabwe, 2005).
