Yegon Cheruiyot Wilbon

Yegon Cheruiyot Wilbon was born in 1991 in Ambusket village, Kuresoi South sub-county, Nakuru County, Kenya. He completed his primary education in 2003 and scored 415 marks, which earned him an entry into police sponsored prestigious school, Utumishi Academy. Thanks to the National police, service and free secondary education from 2007, which enabled him, complete his studies successfully in 2009. Despite few difficulties, he scored a B+ (70 Points). In 2011, he joined Laikipia University to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural economics. He graduated in 2015 with a second class honours (upper division). In 2016, he joined Egerton University to pursue a Master of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics. He has been an active team player and leader; in 2008, he was appointed as senior assistant captain human resource in Utumishi Boys student leaders’ body. From 2011 until 2013, he was agricultural economics class representative. In 2012, he was elected as halls representative congressional representative and consecutively in 2013 was elected as the vice chairperson of Laikipia University Students’ Organisation (LUSO). In 2015 he was attached to Olenguruone Tea factory focussing mainly on farmer training. In 2016, he was employed by Technoserve Incorporation in partnership with Syngenta as community extension service provider in Mavuno Zaidi Project. His deepest appreciation goes to all stakeholders who have played a pivotal role in both his academic and professional development. Much more appreciation goes to RUFORUM through TAGDev Program at Egerton University for tuition fee support. He appreciates the role of sponsors in enhancing human capital development and diffusion of modern technologies
