Simon Kabugi Mbogo

Simon Kabugi Mbogo is a third-year student at Egerton University pursuing Bachelor of Education (Arts). He hails from Ngorika village Nyandarua County, Kenya. He is one of the beneficiary of tuition fee support offered by RUFORUM through the TAGDev program at Egerton University for the needy students. Simon was enrolled for his early childhood education in the year 1998 to 2000 where he acquired his basic education. In his tender age he was vocal and enhanced learning and discussions. In 2002, he started his primary school education at Ngorika Primary School he was an active participant in debates and football game, he excelled with a total marks of 326 in his final examination of Kenya Certificate of Primary Education. Later in 2013, Simon  started his high school education at Anestar High School having stayed out of school for one year due to lack of needed school fee amount. He served as a class prefect from form two to form four. He also engaged in many participatory activities in Science Congress and in National Humanities Competition and secured certificates of participation. His great inspiration is seeing the youth succeed in life on not just rely on white collar jobs
