The students from Egerton University

Raphael Onkanga Orori

Raphael Onkanga Orori is 22 years old born and raised in Nyamira County, Kenya. He completed his primary education in the year 2012 where he scored 327 marks, this earned him a chance to join St. Don-Bosco Nyabiosi secondary school in 2013 and did his KCSE exams in 2016 where he scored a mean grade of B plain (61points). He joined Egerton University in 2017 and he is currently in his 3rd year of study pursuing Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Extension. He is one of the beneficiaries of RUFORUM through TAGDev program tuition fee support for the needy students on campus. He is inspired to work hard and excel academically and socially.

Rael Nelima Mulati

Rael Nelima Mulati was born on 28th March 1998 in Kimilili Sub-County, Bungoma County Kenya. She is the 6th born in a family of 10. She started schooling in Kimilili D.E.B Primary school there after she proceeded to Cardinal Otunga Girls’ High school. She is currently a third-year student pursuing her Bachelor degree in Environmental Science at Egerton University. She thanks RUFORUM through TAGDev program for supporting her dream through tuition fee support. Rael has got a great passion in environment and as a result she has tried her level best to ensure that she achieves her dream. Being an environmentalist, she has attended many clean-up activities, has planted and many tress and so on.

Okoth Paul Ogoye

Okoth Paul Ogoye is a fourth-year student in the Department of Applied Community Development Studies, Faculty of Education and Community Studies, Egerton University. He is pursuing Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Human Ecology Extension. He is a Kenyan born and brought up in Migori County, Nyatike Sub-county, Kachieng' ward in a very economically challenged household. Receiving tuition support from RUFORUM through the TAGDev program at Egerton University was a timely rescue from studies deferment. He is a good, industrious, determined and hardworking student and doing fairly well in his academics despite the inherent financial challenges.

Patrick Mkholo Mdemba

Patrick Mkholo Mdemba was born in Western Kenya on 7th August 1993. Despite various financial constraints he is able to excel in his academic. In 2010 he sat for final primary examination at Nangili Primary School and passed well. In 2011 to 2014 he attended  Musanda  Secondary school and scored B+  that gave him entry to Egerton University  in 2015 but due to  lack of school fees he deferred his studies   and  resumed  in 2016 .

Mwinyihija Jafari

Mwinyihija Jafari began his education at Silver Gate in Nairobi where he studied for his kindergarten level. He later joined St Georges Greenland for his primary education where he excelled very well and earned him a chance to join Booker Academy for his secondary school studies while there he worked hard and managed to score a mean grade of B which earned him a chance to join Egerton University. He is currently a third-year student studying Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics at the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness.
