The National University of Rwanda (NUR) is a Rwanda’s state university, founded in November 1963 as an institution of higher learning, with a mission to provide higher education, conduct research, and offer services to the community. It is the oldest and largest University in the country. The University is located in the Southern Province, 150 km south of the capital city of Kigali.
Its mission is to generate and disseminate high quality multi-disciplinary knowledge and promote effective research, skills training and community service for national competitiveness and sustainable socio-economic development.
