The Faculty of Agriculture was challenged with the responsibility of launching three of the first five degree programmes, namely; Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering, Bachelor of Science in Animal Production, and Bachelor of Science in Horticulture. Currently, the Faculty comprises four Departments, namely:
- Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management
- Animal Sciences
- Crop and Soil Sciences
- Dairy, Food Science & Technology
The Faculty offers five Diploma, Eight Bachelor of Science programmes, and six Masters of Science and five Doctorate programmes. Three – year Diploma Programmes in; Diploma in Animal Health, Diploma in Dairy Technology, Diploma in Horticulture, Diploma in Farm Management and Diploma in Tropical Animal Science and Technology Four – year Bachelor of Science Degree Programmes and these are; B.Sc. in Agriculture, B.Sc. in Animal Production, B.Sc. in Dairy Science and Technology, B.Sc. in Food Science and Technology, B.Sc. in Horticulture and B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics Mission:
