The main conclusion to be drawn from this is that the RAP Strategy is not simply a separate project within RUFORUM, to be implemented in parallel with other projects. Rather, it will inform and become integrated into all RUFORUM activities, as well as driving its resource mobilization actions. It should also inform the Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy for RUFORUM, as it will be necessary to incorporate systematic assessment of the extent to which RUFORUM’s activities are advancing its key positions. However, while the RAP Strategy will serve to set the agenda for other RUFORUM activities – research, capacity-building, resource mobilization, and monitoring and evaluation – it will then be essential to establish a cyclical process, as those activities will continue to shape the RAP Strategy and determine what kinds of advocacy and publishing activities should be prioritized.
